Twelve tables
Kaste is a corner restaurant in Helsinki. Twelve tables, tall windows, and the music kept under the level of the conversation.
One stove, four dishes
We opened in the spring of 2021 with room for six guests and a list four dishes long, because a fifth would not have fit. The room has grown since. The list has not, much.

Bought in the morning, eaten by evening
Fish comes in on Tuesdays and Fridays, vegetables every morning from Hakaniemi market. Whatever runs out leaves the list and stays off it until it turns up again. So ask at the counter what there is today.
