Websites for business

Design, build and search visibility from one person. The platform is chosen by what the site needs to do, how soon it is needed and who updates it afterwards.

Three paths

Every path leads to a finished site built for search engines. The difference is how far the design and features are tailored and how the content is updated.

Next.js

from 2 000 € + VAT

The site is built from scratch in code, so design, motion and structure are made exactly as intended. Pages are produced before anyone opens them, which shows as load speed even on a slow connection and an old phone.

Request a written proposal

You get a reply within two working days. For a standard scope it is a written proposal: the recommended platform and why, scope, fixed price and schedule. Larger projects start with a call, and the proposal follows within five working days of it. The proposal is valid for 30 days.

Next.js + Sanity

Edit the content yourself, even on a custom site

A Next.js site comes with a Sanity admin panel. You update text, images and a list such as a menu in a browser, and the change shows on the site straight away. The design stays as it was designed, because the panel edits content, not structure.

You can edit text and headings, images and galleries, lists such as a menu, services and price list, and news. There can be several users.

The basic panel is included in the price: text, images and one repeating list, such as a menu or services. Larger content types, such as news or team pages, get a fixed price in the proposal.

Copy, extra pages and upkeep

I write the site’s copy while I build it when copy is part of the order. Headlines, service descriptions and calls to action are planned page by page, with search terms in from the start.

The domain and the service accounts are in your name from the start, and I look after them. The rights to the site transfer to you with the final invoice. Upkeep has no fixed term, and the notice period is one month.

The domain costs about 15 € a year. The hosting account is set up in your name, and you pay it directly to the provider. On Squarespace the server is part of the platform’s monthly fee and the platform handles updates and backups itself, so upkeep applies to WordPress and Next.js sites. Changes to a Squarespace site are done as hourly work.

From idea to launch

  1. Straight talk

We agree on what we’re building, for whom and what it must achieve. Scope, price and schedule on one page.

  2. See it before it’s built

After the starting fee you get a draft in about a week, so you see the direction before committing to the full price. Two rounds of revisions are included.

  3. Build and words, together

I build the site and write the copy in one pass when copy is part of the order. SEO and AEO from the start.

  4. Launch, then sharpen

We publish, measure what works and improve it. The final payment is due at launch.

Questions

How long does a website take?

The draft is usually ready within a week of the starting fee. In large and demanding projects the schedule is agreed by scope, and the exact schedule is in the written proposal.

What do I need to provide?

Your logo, images and the basic details of your business. You can write the copy yourself or order it from me at 90 € + VAT per page.

Can I update the site myself?

Yes. On WordPress and Squarespace you edit the content in a browser. A Next.js site comes with a basic Sanity panel for editing text, images and a list such as a menu. If you would rather not update it yourself, the larger upkeep tier includes an hour of changes a month.

Whose name are the site and the domain in?

Yours. The domain and the service accounts are registered in your name from the start, and I look after them. The rights to the site transfer to you when the final invoice is paid.

What does the starting fee cover, and what if the draft isn’t right?

The starting fee covers the draft and is credited against the final price. The draft includes two rounds of revisions and the finished site one. If you decide to stop after the draft, you pay only the starting fee.

Why is the price “from”?

The starting price covers each path’s base scope. Extra pages, languages and features are priced at a fixed rate in the written proposal, so the final price is known before work starts.

Request a proposal

Tell me briefly what your business does and what the site should achieve. You get a reply within two working days. For a standard scope the reply is a written proposal with a fixed price. Larger projects start with a call, and the proposal is based on it.
